Academic Scholarships

We are currently accepting scholarship applications from the WHS Class of 2025. Please read below for important scholarship criteria. Deadline to submit completed application to the WHS counselor is April 4, 2025.

Woodsboro Education Foundation Scholarship Criteria

The WEF will award at least one scholarship of $1,500 to an eligible graduating senior who meets established criteria. Additional scholarships may be considered if funding is available.

• The scholarship recipient must have attended Woodsboro High School for four consecutive years.

• Three letters of recommendation must be attached to the application in order to be considered as a scholarship recipient.

• The recipient will be selected based upon full completion of the scholarship application as reviewed and voted on by the selection committee.

• The recipient must claim the scholarship by September 1st of the same year it is awarded. If not claimed by the September 1st deadline, the money will be retained by the WEF.

• The recipient must be enrolled in at least 12 or more college hours at a college/university or trade/technical school in order to receive scholarship funds.

• The recipient must provide proof of registration or enrollment and a class schedule in order to receive scholarship funds.

• Checks for the scholarship will be made out to the recipient and the college/university or trade/technical school.
